The Accu‑Chek Instant test strip is smaller than my current test strip, will I be able to use it?
The Accu‑Chek Instant system was designed to assist users to easily conduct a test. Several features were designed for this purpose:

In switching from the Accu-Chek Performa system, my customers wonder why the material of the electrode changed from gold?
In order to achieve the highest accuracy and most robust system claims, a combination of palladium and gold is used for the electrodes. Both of these metals are widely utilized in the electronics and medical industries for surgical instruments and metal contacts.

How many electrodes are on the test strip?
There are eight electrodes on the test strip.
Does the Accu‑Chek Instant test strip offer out-of-meter dosing like the Accu-Chek Active system?
No, the Accu‑Chek Instant test strip does not offer any out-of-meter dosing option. To provide a timely, accurate result, electrochemical systems require a connection between the meter and test strip during the entire testing process.
If the test strips vial remains open, will this affect the stability?
Yes, as with any test strip, heat, humidity and other environmental conditions can affect strips.
Do the meters lock the user out if the test strips have expired?
No, the meters do not provide an automatic warning message telling customers that their vial of test strips will soon expire or lock them out once they have expired.
What happens if the user does not apply enough blood on the test strip?
As with today’s products, the user will receive an E-4 error code.
Can I add a second drop of blood to the test strip after the test has started?
No. There is no ability to squeeze extra blood from the finger to dose a strip a second time. However, there is a slight pause in testing that allows for the patient to take full use of the available blood from their finger.
Can I apply blood to any part of a test strip? Does it influence test results?
The easy-edge of the Accu‑Chek Instant test strip has the largest dosing window of any major blood glucose test strip. It can be dosed anywhere along the edge and finger. Regardless of where dosed along the edge, the system provides a fast, accurate result.automatically absorbs the blood from the patient’s
How much blood does a test strip require?
The Accu‑Chek Instant test strip requires only a small speck of blood (0.6 μL).
Can I touch the test strips?
Yes, a clear protective barrier runs along the entire length of the test strip to protect the strip and chemistry. Blood applied to the opening along the end of the strip can be quickly pulled into the test strip.
Will other Accu-Chek meters test strips work with the Accu‑Chek Instant or Accu‑Chek Instant S meters?
No, there is no compatibility between the Accu‑Chek Instant test strips with these and other Accu‑Chek systems.
Does the Accu‑Chek Instant or the Accu‑Chek Instant S meter require coding?
No, the Accu‑Chek Instant and the Accu‑Chek Instant S meters do not require manual coding
Is it possible to test with different blood sample types?
Yes, it is possible to test with all types of blood including capillary, venous, arterial, and neonatal for all ROW countries outside the US and Canada.
Has anything changed with the test strips?
